What an excellent article, thank you. Reading it makes me wonder, again, about Carney and Hodgson. With the large number of staffers they have, the analysis in this article should have been available to them for some time. They should know this. Yet instead of focusing on sustainable long-term investments to keep "Canada Strong," their goal seems to be making deals, bringing in the private cash or public funds that can keep jobs and money flowing in the short term. Their support for oil and gas infrastructure expansion is propping up an unstable house of cards, and by the time it collapses they both will be long gone from the political arena.
